Gameday Mascot

Are you an upbeat & energetic individual looking for a unique job opportunity? Join the SEG Promotion Team as everyone’s favourite Mascots!

We are looking for a dedicated, responsible & active individual with a flexible schedule to dress as the mascot for Community Events, Appearances & Game Days as needed. You will be Pokecheck for the Saskatoon Blades, Rowdy & Bruiser for the Saskatchewan Rush and everyone’s favourite bear, Barry for the Saskatoon Berries.

Our purpose as an organization is “to create a sense of pride and belonging through entertainment”. We count on our dedicated Promotions Crew to help us create that pride and show our community how much fun a Berries game day can really be!

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform in the introduction onto the field prior to the game
  • Interact with fans during events/game day in a positive, exciting way
  • Walk around during the game
  • Appearances may also include but not limited to parades, suite visits, crowd prompts, dancing, various photo opportunities, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

  • Expression of a friendly, engaging, enthusiastic & animated personality within a non-speaking role
  • Must be comfortable performing & interacting with fans in front of large crowds
  • Good physical condition with the ability to withstand the demands of performing in a costume, especially outdoors in the summer
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and work individually when needed
  • Flexible schedule – Must be able to work most home games, nights/weekends and holidays as required
  • Prior mascot or related experience preferred but not required
  • Minimum 18 years of age
