Job Description

Retail Store Manager

 

Sask Entertainment Group, the owner of the Saskatchewan Rush (NLL), Saskatoon Blades (WHL), and the Saskatoon Berries (WCBL) is looking to add an experienced professional to manage our retail store, the Fan Experience Zone… the FEZ!

The Store Manager is a true business owner for the FEZ. They are responsible for leading, managing and continuously developing all aspects of the store's business. They are accountable for creating and maintaining a positive and highly productive work environment aligning with SEG’s core values. They will be responsible for consistently achieving sales targets, managing inventory, leading and developing a highly successful customer service team for our fans.

Who you are:

Business Leader

  • Develop and execute the store's retail strategies
  • Local market knowledge of sports fans and industry trends
  • Identify KPI’s to grow revenue while managing expenses
  • Work in collaboration with marketing staff to develop successful apparel lines
  • Manage buyer and relations with vendors & suppliers

People Leader

  • Ensure your staff exudes passion for our teams to our fans and represent who we are, what we do and why we do what we do
  • Develop a fun working environment that’s contagious to our customers and fans
  • Set a standard of accountability and inclusivity through development, performance management, training and consistent coaching
  • Represent the merchandise department within SEG and other departments

Operations Leader

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the retail store and team stores at games
  • Manage inventory and sales reporting
  • Champion strong visual standards for the salesfloor by leveraging business performance data
  • Support a safe work environment and efficient operation
  • Develop schedules that deliver business results while maintaining labor effectively

Store Manager Qualifications

  • 5+ years of retail or related industry leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly Motivated by driving business in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability
  • Basic knowledge of sports and SEG’s teams is an asset
  • Business owner mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends on game nights
